Nintendo’s Biggest Direct Yet
Today’s Nintendo Direct didn’t just deliver surprises—it shattered records. With millions tuning in, this was one of the most-watched gaming showcases of 2025, surpassing Sony’s State of Play and Pokémon Day’s livestream. It now sits as Nintendo’s third most-viewed Direct ever, behind only the E3 2021 Direct (Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom) and the June 2024 Direct (Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom).
And Nintendo isn’t slowing down. April 2 will see another Direct—this time fully dedicated to the Switch 2. What does the future hold for Nintendo’s next-generation console? We’ll find out soon enough.
