Netflix just dropped an awesome video featuring our beloved Straw Hat crew—yes, you heard me right—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji, played by Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar, respectively. The video shows them returning to the Going Merry pirate ship set in the beautiful landscapes of South Africa. It’s a joyous reunion and a promising start to what we can expect to be an adventurous season ahead.
Fans have been on edge waiting for this announcement, especially after Netflix teased us with some new cast additions back in June 2024. It’s been a rollercoaster of anticipation, but knowing that production is in full swing now is like finding the One Piece treasure itself—well, almost!

Let’s talk about the new faces we’ll be seeing in Season 2. David Dastmalchian, who you might recognize from “Ant-Man” and “The Suicide Squad,” is joining the crew as Mr. 3. Clive Russell from “Game of Thrones” will be portraying Crocus. We also have Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Captain Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Rob Colletti as Wapol—sadly ending the speculation of Danny DeVito stepping into the role.

The returning cast is equally thrilling. Ilia Isorelys Paulino is back as Alvida, Jeff Ward reprises his role as Buggy, and Michael Dorman returns as Gold Roger. These characters will play significant parts in the early episodes of Season 2, which are set to cover the Arabasta Arc.
So, let’s dive into what we can expect episode by episode (minor spoilers ahead if you’re not caught up with the manga!). Episode 1 will probably show our Straw Hats in Loguetown, where they encounter Alvida, Buggy, and Gold Roger’s legacy before heading into the Grand Line. Episode 2 is set to take us through the thrilling Reverse Mountain journey with Clive Russell’s Crocus making his debut. By Episode 3, we should find ourselves at Whisky Peak, introducing several Baroque Works agents like Mr. 9 and Miss Valentine.

Moving on, Episode 5 is likely to cover Little Garden, where we meet the giant duo Dorry and Brogy. Episode 6 will be the big moment for Tony Tony Chopper fans, as this episode is expected to introduce our favorite reindeer hybrid, along with Dalton. Finally, Episodes 7 and 8 will probably serve as an epic two-part finale focusing on the main events in Arabasta, featuring key battles with Mr. 3 and the rest of Baroque Works.
The buzz around this season is palpable, and for good reason. The live-action adaptation of “One Piece” has managed to capture the hearts of both long-time fans and newcomers alike, blending the essence of Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece with fresh, dynamic storytelling. Seeing the beloved characters come to life with such depth and authenticity has been nothing short of magical.

As we eagerly await more sneak peeks and official trailers, it’s safe to say that the excitement is just beginning. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the original manga and anime or someone who’s fallen in love with the live-action series, there’s plenty to look forward to in Season 2.

Stay tuned for more updates as production progresses, and let’s keep our fingers crossed for smooth sailing towards that 2025 premiere date. In the meantime, let’s celebrate the start of this new chapter in the “One Piece” saga!
