Not to be outdone by the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket you’ll find in theaters in a few weeks, Xbox has taken its game to the next level with an exciting new collaboration. As of Wednesday, Xbox has unveiled a custom Xbox Series X console and a Deadpool-themed controller that’s as playful as the Merc with a Mouth himself. This crossover isn’t just another skin-deep effort; it’s a full-blown tribute to Deadpool’s iconic style and Wolverine’s gritty charm.

The custom console follows Xbox’s tradition of unique collaborations, but it’s the controller that’s stealing the show. Designed to showcase Deadpool’s “finest asset”(pun-intended), this controller is something truly special. It’s covered in a texture and pattern that perfectly emulates Deadpool’s iconic red and black suit. But the real surprise comes when you flip it over.

The back of the controller is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It protrudes far more than a normal Xbox controller, all in an effort to recreate “Deadpool’s buns of steel in its firm (yet surprisingly comfortable) grip,” according to Xbox. Now, I’m not entirely sure how comfortable this will actually be during a marathon gaming session, but you have to give Xbox and Deadpool credit for their creativity here. This isn’t just a controller; it’s a conversation starter.

In anticipation of Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” hitting theaters on July 26, Xbox teamed up with Deadpool to design this custom Xbox Wireless Controller. Xbox describes it as something everyone will want to get their hands on, and I can see why. Modeled after Deadpool’s much-discussed, perfectly rounded tush, the controller is part of a global sweepstakes. That’s right, only one lucky fan will get to call this playful piece of gaming history their own.
